Beach Wedding Look + Dress Design!

Hey guys! I hope you’re all well! It’s been a while since I showcased a dress designed by myself. Months in dating Kaya she told me that we were invited for a family beach wedding and I asked her if she wanted me to design a dress for her.

She immediately said yes and she gave me three tips on how she wanted the dress to be which were “Silk, Wine and with Slits”. A couple of days after I started working on this dress and she fell in love with the first design I made as apparently she kinda dreamt of that dress which also had a bonus add-on to what she requested….you’ll know later on in this post 😅

Let me talk a bit about how I styled myself and then we finish with the dress (leave the best for last)! I wore a combination of Gagliardi and Asos. Basically everything was of Gagliardi, only the shoes were Asos 😅. Since I’m still like a “foreigner” in her family, I didn’t go with a jacket as it would have been too much but then again I didn’t want to be simple so I wore a gingham burgundy waistcoat over a white linen shirt and a pair of off white chinos!

To finish off my look I wore my brown Gagliardi bracelet and the only pair of loafers I own which are of Asos! I really need to buy myself a couple of new loafers, been like 2 years wearing this pair 😅 haha!

Moving onto Kaya’s dress! Let me tell you the bonus part of the dress. I love adding that little something extra in my designs and when it comes to these type of dresses I love adding chains! Something small nothing too big but it gives a total different and more of an extra look!

When I design dresses I don’t just simply design it and that’s it, one of my aims is to make the women wearing it feel comfortable with herself, sexy and wanted. In short words, I want to make sure she attracts the eyes of many people and to also be unique!

I don’t just place the chains randomly neither but in specific places that will make it look more interesting and attract all the attention! As you could see I placed them in two different places, at the back and in between both slits and then matched silver accessories with them.

Like a week after the beach wedding we went around to shoot these photos and also made a short clip about both of our looks! Here is the outcome, I hope you guys like it and it would be great if you could share this! ❤️

Every feedbacks and shares are all appreciated! This is just a small part of what might be my future career so you can imagine how much it means to me! ❤️

See ya next time!

First Lookbook With Danyl!!🔥

*CAUTION; LIT POST BELOW* 🔥🔥🔥

Heeyy guysss!! I hope you’re doing great! After almost a year of talking and planning ahead of us my pal Danyl and I finally worked on something together!

We met in October if I’m not mistaken, it’s when school starts no? My old ass went back to school last year and there is where I met the man himself! We immediately became great friends and started planning ahead of us but then I dropped school and kept on chasing my dreams.

A time were I wanted to do more than I already do and work harder in promoting different fashion and confidence in Malta, hit me hard and I went on someone that I knew that had the same push and energy like me and here is the outcome!

IMG_0017.jpg

We decided to go for this modern/vintage look in a modern location to make sure to get the contrast we wanted! We chose certain items that really took out the vintage out from the outfit.

Our aim was to start strong and see what you guys think about us working together and also about what we can manage to bring you guys! A simple comment for us means a lot! It means support and push to do more and more, to get better and brainstorm better ideas to promote fashion!

Danyl and I might not have the same style, to be honest it’s literally different as Danyl is all out streetstyle and hypebeast when on the other hand I’m more of an all rounder, smart casual person with a difference that I love trying out different styles! What we have the same is the push to promote fashion here in Malta and our future plans, that’s what united us!

I think I have said enough about how we met and our vision haha!

Guys go check out this very first lookbook we worked on! Don’t forget to leave a comment somewhere either here or on my page or come message us! Also SHARE SHARE SHARE!!!! ❤️ We are already planning on something great ahead which you will….. 😅 I’ll tell you later!

In the mean time check out our video!!!

A huge thank you goes to Ian Bray and my girl Kaya Buhagiar for the amazing work they did! Lastly don’t forget to subscribe to DANYL’S YOUTUBE CHANNEL!

See ya next time!

Fashion Week 2018: The Gagliardi Show!

HEEEEYYYYYYY!! It’s been a while you guys!! I haven’t had any chancee to write any posts had a bit of a rough time at work and also some stress came saying hi 🤦🏼‍♂️. ANYHOW I’m here now and I’m finally writing this post!

Another year and another missed week of outstanding fashion creations and great vibes. I can say that this is one of the best and saddest weeks for me as I basically lose it all due to it’s held in the months that we’re very very busy so I can’t take any leave to attend to these shows as I would need to do everything in a hurry if I go after work 😓

I definitely can’t miss the Gagliardi show, it’s one of the most shows I look for in this week! With every single piece that goes out, my heart started running so fast that I couldn’t stop it and I started doing that “dumb” smile haha that kind of smile that I have never seen anything like it before!

Let me start showing you some of the looks that were showcased in this show and then I’ll continue talking later!! The following shots are taken by Steven Muliett.

Which of these looks do you guys mostly like?!

This years show was very different for me. I got the chance to connect with more models that walked for Gagliardi and also the chance to style the models (Not for the show)! Seeing them coming in the shop, talking with them about modelling, showing them some of my photos and hearing feedback from them was just amazing!

As they walked I supported them and after the show I also engaged with them on how the show and they were amazing and also complimenting me on how I was dressed, BASICALLY I WAS HIGH UP IN THE SKY ALL NIGHT!!

This year I was also accompanied by my beautiful girl Kaya, which was her very first fashion week show she ever attended. Let me tell you from now, we nailed it!
Check out how we looked!

What do you guys think of our look?
Isn’t she beautiful or is she? ❤️

Moving to another set of looks! The two following sets of shots are taken by Gordon Formosa from Go Raw Photography!

Which look of this set did you mostly like?!

The feeling of the show, the styles, the models, the energy the crowd had and most especially the hard work from the stylists, designers and management of Gagliardi truly made an unforgettable night! Last years show was great but this one was SUPER!

Here comes the second and last set of styles!

Which look of this set did you mostly like?!

As the fashion week itself came to an end so has this blog post! Huge well done to everyone especially to the models I knew and also got to meet, Neil Scerri, Omar Farrugia, James Spiteri Staines, Jean Paul Farrugia and last but not least, the award winning Mister World Malta Daryl Azzopardi!

Ending all of this with the photo of the brain and hard work behind Gagliardi, Mr Sam Borg!
